Chen Xi, Chief Branding Officer of Asiabrand and Vice President of Asia Brand Research Institute, released the list of “2021 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, and analyzed and interpreted the results of the list in detail from different perspectives, such as the total brand value, regional distribution, and industry analysis. Alibaba, Huawei, Tencent, China Construction, Nubia, Titanium Meter Robotics, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Far Eastern Integrity, China UnionPay were among the top ten innovative brands.

Chen Xi pointed out that in the era of brand economy, the brand value of an enterprise is no longer a virtual concept, it is the real embodiment of the enterprise's future development capability. Brand value is not just an honor, but also an asset, an asset that can change the financial structure of an enterprise and enable it to gain a broader space for survival and development.

Mr. Chen Xi, Chief Branding Officer of Asiabrand and Vice President of Asia Brand Research Institute, released and explained the list.


The development of the list is based on 11,523 innovative brands selected from the database of Asia Brand Research Institute, and adopts Asiabrand Brand Value Evaluation 3.0 “Qualitative + Quantitative” model, which makes the brand value calculation results closer to the market value through the accurate measurement of corporate brand assets and the relevant analysis of brand asset efficacy. Through accurate measurement of corporate brand equity and relevant analysis of brand equity efficacy, the results of brand value calculation are closer to market value, providing scientific and objective reference basis for government management, investment and financing, enterprise resource allocation and brand management.


★ Total analysis ★


The total brand value of the enterprises selected for the “2021 China Top 500 Innovative Brands” is RMB 17.11 trillion, accounting for 16.84% of China's GDP in 2020, while the brand value of the enterprises among the Top 10 totaled RMB 3.35 trillion, accounting for 19.59% of the total brand value. Brand economy has become an extremely important part of China's economic development.



★ Regional analysis ★

A total of 30 regional brands made the list. Among them, Beijing has a clear advantage, with 119 brands on the list, accounting for 23.8% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking first; Shanghai has 81 brands on the list, accounting for 16.2% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking second; Guangdong has 75 brands on the list, accounting for 15.0% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking third.



★ Industry Analysis ★

The brands on the list involve a total of 41 industries, covering all areas of national economy and people's livelihood. In terms of the number of brands on the list, the top 10 industries are: information transmission, software and information technology services, 129; promotion and application services, 87; manufacturing industry, 71; business services, 36; wholesale industry, 31; research and experimental development, 25; professional and technical services, 17; pharmaceutical manufacturing, 15; electric power and heat production and supply, 10; and retailing, 10.



In terms of total value, the brand value of the top 10 industries totaled RMB 155,394 billion, accounting for 90.83% of the total brand value of the list. Among them, the information technology services industry has a total brand value of RMB 516,604.7 million, accounting for 30.20%, making it the industry with the most potential for future development.
