Vice President of Asia Brand Research Institute, Yu Junping, released the list of “2022 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, and analyzed and interpreted the results of the list from different perspectives, such as total brand value, regional distribution and industry analysis. Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, China Construction, Bank of China, Haier, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Sinopec, Baidu, and Xiaomi Technology are among the top 10 innovative brands.

The list is based on 16,000 innovative brands selected from the database of Asia Brand Institute, and adopts the Asiabrand Brand Value Evaluation 3.0 “qualitative + quantitative” model, which makes the results of brand value calculation closer to the market value through the accurate measurement of corporate brand assets and the relevant analysis of brand asset efficacy, and provides an important tool for government management, investment and investment. Through accurate measurement of corporate brand equity and relevant analysis of brand equity efficacy, the results of brand value calculation are closer to the market value, providing a scientific and objective reference basis for government management, investment and financing, enterprise resource allocation and brand management.

Total volume analysis
From the list of “2022 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, it can be seen that the total brand value of innovative enterprises is RMB 18.28 trillion, accounting for 15.98% of the GDP in 2021. The brand value of the Top 10 enterprises totaled RMB 4.58 trillion, accounting for 25.05% of the total brand value.
From the above data, it is easy to see that the brand economy has become an extremely important part of China's economic development, and the larger the enterprise, the more importance it attaches to the construction of its own brand. Huawei topped the list, with a brand value of 623.367 billion yuan, followed by Alibaba and Tencent, with brand values of 591.925 billion yuan and 531.334 billion yuan respectively.

Regional analysis
A total of 30 regional brands were selected for the “2022 China Top 500 Innovative Brands” list. Among them, Beijing has an obvious advantage, with 113 brands on the list, accounting for 22.6% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking first. Shanghai has 81 brands on the list, accounting for 16.2% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking second. Guangdong has 72 brands on the list, accounting for 14.4% of the total number of seats on the list, ranking third.
As can be seen from the above chart, Beijing region, Shanghai region and Guangdong region have the largest number of brands on the list, respectively: 113 brands, 81 brands and 72 brands, which are among the top three. The total brand value of the three regions is as high as RMB 12.50 trillion, accounting for 68.40% of the total brand value of the Top 500. This situation reflects a high degree of regional concentration of highly innovative companies and brands in China, and a greater demand for innovation in economically developed regions.

Industry Analysis
Throughout the list of “2022 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, the brands on the list involve a total of 51 industries, covering all areas of national economy and people's livelihood. In terms of the number of brands on the list, the top ten industries are: information transmission, software and information technology service industry, 135, accounting for 27%; science and technology promotion and application service industry, 83, accounting for 16.6%; manufacturing industry, 72, accounting for 14.4%; scientific research and development industry, 72, accounting for 14.4%; and the industry of “2022 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”. From the perspective of the number of listings, the three major industries, namely information technology service industry, science and technology service industry, and manufacturing industry, have the largest number of listings, which fully demonstrates that these three industries are among the major industries for innovation and development in 2021, with public attention and enterprise innovation generally improving, and the production activities and resource allocation capacity of the enterprises being greatly influenced by brands, which fully matches with the demand for high-quality development.
From the perspective of total brand value, the total brand value of the Top 500 Innovative Companies is RMB 18,277,151 million, while the brand value of the top 10 industries totaled RMB 16,493,500 million, accounting for 90.24% of the total brand value of the list. Among them, the total brand value of the information technology services industry is RMB 5526.866 billion, accounting for 30.24%, and the total brand value of the technology application services industry is RMB 3753.583 billion, accounting for 20.54%, which have become the two strongest teams with the most development potential in the future.
