2023 China Top 500 Innovative Brands

On May 21st, “2023 Brand Power (Kunming) International Summit Forum and China's Top 500 Innovative Brands Conference” was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, sponsored by Asiabrand, a professional brand evaluation organization, and co-sponsored by China Association for Asian Economic Development, Global Times, Xinhua Client and Pudong Development Bank Kunming Branch. ” was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Mr. Guan Xinfeng, Vice President of Branding Committee of China Association for Economic Development in Asia (CAEDA) and Vice President of Asia Brand Research Institute (ABRI), released the top ten of “2023 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands” and interpreted the analysis report.


     Mr. Guan Xinfeng, Vice President of the Branding Committee of China Association for Asian Economic Development and Vice President of Asia Brand Research Institute, released the list of “2022 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands” and made a detailed analysis and interpretation based on the data results of the list from different perspectives, such as the total brand value, regional distribution, and industry analysis. State Grid, Huawei Technology, Tencent Technology, Alibaba, Jitterbug, Haier, BYD, Ping An of China, Xiaomi, Jingdong and other enterprises are among the TOP 10 of China's innovative brand value list.



Guan Xinfeng pointed out that in the era of brand economy, the brand value of the enterprise is no longer a virtual concept, it is the real embodiment of the enterprise's future development ability. Brand value is not only honor, but also a kind of asset, which can change the financial structure of the enterprise and enable the enterprise to obtain broader survival and development space. For entrepreneurs, branding embodies the responsibility to create value, the ability to allocate resources, and the contribution to serve society.



The list is based on more than 15,000 innovative brands selected from the database of Asia Brand Research Institute, and adopts the Asiabrand Brand Value Evaluation 3.0 “qualitative + quantitative” model, which makes the results of brand value calculation closer to the market value through the accurate measurement of corporate brand assets and the relevant analysis of brand asset efficacy. The results of brand value calculation are closer to market value, providing scientific and objective reference basis for government management, investment and financing, enterprise resource allocation and brand management.



Brand Overview



From the list of “2023 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, it can be seen that the total brand value of China's innovative enterprises is RMB 18.64 trillion, an increase of 3.1% compared with 2022, accounting for 15.64% of the 2022 GDP. And the combined brand value of the TOP 10 companies is RMB 4.547 trillion, accounting for 23.91% of the total brand value.



From the above data, it is easy to see that brand economy has become an extremely important part of China's economic development, and the larger the enterprise, the more importance it attaches to the construction of its own brand. Excellent enterprises always take brand building as one of the important competitive strategies, and build and maintain their own brands through continuous innovation, publicity and marketing, so as to enhance the popularity and value of their brands in the market.


Brand Regional Analysis


According to “2023 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, a total of 29 regions are included in the list, including Beijing, Guangdong and Shanghai, which account for nearly half of the total number of enterprises on the list, while the rest of the regions have a relatively balanced distribution of enterprises.



The brand ranking is an important indicator reflecting the value and competitiveness of a company's brand, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Greater Bay Area are all important regions for China's brand building and development, with their generous resources and competitive advantages in the marketplace creating a favorable environment and platform for the development of corporate brands. From the list of “2023 China's Top 500 Innovative Brands”, it can be seen that the list of innovative brand value in 2023 is characterized by diversity and balance.



First, the manufacturing industry is the most outstanding, with a brand value of 10.52 trillion. This is followed by the information technology industry with a brand value of $1.13 trillion. New technologies such as mobile internet, artificial intelligence and big data keep emerging, which also brings new development opportunities for the information technology industry; the third is the electric power, heat production and supply industry with a brand value of 1.08 trillion. Electricity is the basic energy of society, but also an important guarantee for the country's economic development, green energy and clean development is also gradually becoming the trend of industry development. In today's environment of high information efficiency, the cultural industry is developing very rapidly. With the continuous upgrading of cultural and entertainment consumption, more consumers will also pay more attention to cultural content.



Synthesizing the brand value of each industry, it can be seen that the power of innovation will be an important strategy for companies in each industry that will be needed to compete in the future.
